Job Title: Network head of section
Direct Manager: Infrastructure department Manager
- Technical and administrative supervision of the Network section
- Participation and follow-up in Infrastructure department projects, digital transformation projects and software and application development.
- Participating and contributing to the operational processes of Network section and providing logistical and technical support to the Bank in various departments and branches.
- Participating and contributing to the necessary studies, analysis, and recommendations by Infrastructure department, to improve the bank's work and provide the best in the world of banking programs, technologies, and systems
Duties and Responsibly
- Manage Network section activities and following up on achievements.
- Implementation of new projects related to the development of the infrastructure of IT systems.
- Follow up on the daily work procedures regarding System section operations
- Prepare designs and solutions for internal and external networks, work on their analysis and develop plans for their implementation to ensure that communication between the HQ and branches and any third parties is not interrupted in coordination with the Infrastructure department manager
- Preparing the necessary infrastructure to operate the alternative site in terms of hardware, communication networks, programs, and applications.
- execute the necessary technical test for all programs and modifications for the Network section in coordination with IT Departments and sections
- Monitor the performance of local and external networks and take precautionary measures in case of problems.
- Preparing, operating, developing, and upgrading network devices and accessories to suit the needs of the bank and users
- Installing and designing various network systems, security, and protection systems, and ensuring that they are free from any malfunction or slow transfer of information
- Apply security controls for network section Systems In accordance with the international standards and accordance with the bank's quality standards and information security policies
- manage the VPN Account and give them the necessary privilege
- extract the technical reports that necessary to give image of the performance of network and submit them to infrastructure department managers.
- Make sure that precautionary measures are taken in case of network problems
- Addressing vulnerabilities and the consequences of security breaches
- Creating a historical record showing technical and non-technical problems that appear on the network and devices used in the network section, including time, manner of addressing them, the root cause in addition to documenting the security and preventive measures taken
- Supervising the development and maintenance of Network sections systems according to the plans and time limits in this regard
- Make sure that the network sections device and systems work properly
- Addressing the problems of Network section devices and systems radically.
- Prepare Section policies and procedures in coordination with the infrastructure Department manager.
- Submit report on the section achievements to infrastructure department manager.
- Participating in the implementation of the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and the Crisis Management Plan (CMP).
- Participating in the development Business Continuity Plans (BCP) that contain procedures for resuming work in the event of an emergency and develop and review them periodically
- Ensuring that the bank’s compliance with PMA and regulatory instruction.
- Addressing the problems and observations contained in the reports of internal and external auditors in a radical way to prevent their recurrence in the future in coordination infrastructure department manager
- Evaluation of Network section staff performance
- Continuous evaluation of the Network section tasks to ensure distribution, workflow, and good performance according to policies and in coordination with infrastructure department manager
- Ensure that the daily operations conducted to the approved policies and procedures.
- Contribute to providing distinctive technical support to the various departments and branches of the Bank.
- Study the available alternatives from employees on an ongoing basis with the aim of providing the replacement employee for all the basic jobs in the various sections to maintain the permanence of the work
- Submit accident reports to the concerned authorities for all incidents related to the activities of the network section and follow-up on incident handling
- Any other tasks assigned by direct supervisor
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Information Technology/ Computer Science or any related discipline with 12 years of experience in the network, firewall and troubleshooting
- Or Master of Information Technology/ Computer Science or any related discipline with 10 years of experience in in the network, firewall and troubleshooting
- Very good experience in different type of network device- preferred CCNP
- Very good experience in different firewall type (cisco, Fortinet and Forcepoint)
- Very good experience of network troubleshooting
- Very good experience in network protocols
- Very good experience in VoIP, Wide Area Networks, SD-WAN, Network Security, Cloud platforms, SFTP administration
