The National Bank carries out a successful evacuation from the General Headquarters building in cooperation with the Civil Defense

In cooperation with the Civil Defense, The National Bank’s employees conducted a successful evacuation from the General Headquarters building. The evacuation process, spanning over 1 minute and 35 seconds, falls within the scope of the trainings received by the Bank’s employees in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate on Civil Defense Sciences and Public Safety through the course of the past week. Training covered facilities risks as well as electricity and gas hazards, methods for addressing such risks, proper actions in the event of an earthquake or gas leaks, firefighting training, handling of domestic gas cylinders, and first aid.

Mohammed Obaid, TNB’s Administrative Department Manager, expressed his gratitude to the Civil Defense team and stressed importance of training employees and preparing them to respond promptly to crises and risks. He further added that this training contributes to maintaining the safety and security of both PIB staff and customers, and falls within the Bank’s business priorities and strategies.

Colonel Imad Jamal, Civil Defense Director for Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, emphasized the goal of such sessions, aimed at raising the readiness of civil society to respond to potential accidents. He also noted that these sessions seek to prepare the establishments’ employees to deal with and mitigate possible incidents should they occur.

Finally, it is worth noting that the training program spanned over 21 hours and covered relevant practical and theoretical aspects. Certified diplomas accredited by the Civil Defense were granted to trained employees upon concluding the program.
