TNB and Al-Quds University sign a cooperation agreement for supporting students in need

 

Within the scope of the Social Responsibility Mission of the National Savings Program, The National Bank and Al-Quds University – Abu Deis signed today a joint cooperation agreement for supporting students in need. The signing ceremony, held at the University premises, was attended by Ayman Dahadha, Chief Retail Banking Officer, and Dr. Abdul Rauf Al-Senaw, Dean of Student affairs, along with a number of directors from both parties.

Pursuant to the Agreement, The National Bank will offer university scholarships for settling the tuition fees to students in need nominated by Al-Quds University in 2023. 

Commenting on the event, Dahadha stated that TNB has adopted a policy for launching responsible banking products and services that serve the community. He mentioned that the National Savings Program’s mission is centralized on simulating the financial security of Palestinians through the Program’s awards. He noted that, based on the belief that education is the cornerstone of financial security for individuals and the community, the Bank supported students in need through its program, thus empowering them and contributing to their future success. 

Dahadha also praised the educational level offered by Al-Quds University and the essential role it plays in empowering the resilience of Jerusalem’s students, namely through equipping them with the latest academic advancements in all fields. 

As for Al-Senaw, he stated that Al-Quds University attaches the utmost importance to assisting students in need. In fact, such action would not only enable them to pursue their university education, but it also falls within the higher education establishments’ responsibilities as an essential step toward ensuring equal educational opportunities and access to good education for all.
