TNB and PPU sign a cooperation agreement for supporting students in need

The National Bank (TNB) and Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) concluded a cooperation agreement for supporting students in need. The agreement falls within the scope of the social responsibility mission of the National Savings Program, aimed at donating one dollar for each new savings account, whereby donation will be made in favor of the funds for students in need at Palestinian universities. The agreement was signed by Ayman Dahadha, Chief Retail Banking Officer, and Dr. Raed Amro, PPU Vice President. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of directors and officials of both parties.
The University shall nominate the students in need who meet the requirements of TNB, whereby the Bank will settle their tuition fees up to the end of 2023.

Commenting on the event, Dahadha praised the educational level offered by PPU and its scientific achievements over the past few years. He further reiterated TNB’s belief that education is a right for all community members and a cornerstone for empowering societies. He noted that this has led TNB to opt for a social responsibility mission for fostering education and contributing to enabling students to pursue their learning and enter the job market.

Dahadha also mentioned that the Bank’s products and services are all responsible programs featuring social responsibility messages that are important for society as a whole and serve targeted community segments. He noted that each Palestinian citizen who opened a savings account this year with TNB will contribute to the education of a student in need.

From his side, Dr. Raed Amro highly commended the initiative launched by The National Bank, donating one dollar for each new savings account in favor of the funds for students in need at Palestinian universities.

It is also worthy to note that TNB has concluded three similar agreements with Birzeit University, Al-Quds University, and Palestine Polytechnic University. Furthermore, an agreement is soon to be concluded with An-Najah National University.
