The National Bank sponsors Al-Harajah Market’s activities

 

Sponsored by the National Bank (TNB) and organized by the Ramallah Municipality, the activities of the Al-Harajah Market, an annual popular market that provides space to showcase Palestinian small businesses’ products, took place yesterday, Friday, in Rashid Haddadin Square in the city of Ramallah. This year, more than 175 projects were part of the event, with products varying between handicrafts, food and artisanal products. The market also featured a series of performances, in addition to cultural and artistic activities,  including a children’s movie, a puppet-making workshop, a theater show, and musical performances. Representing TNB at the event were its Chief Retail Banking Officer, Ayman Dahadha, the Manager of the Jerusalem District Branches, Mustafa Al-Tamimi, the Manager of the Masyoun Branch, Ramzi Maali, and a number of employees.

The CEO of the National Bank, Salameh Khalil, commented on the bank’s sponsorship of the Al-Harajah market declaring that supporting this event is part of TNB’s national and social responsibility to support small national businesses as they represent the pillar and main growth engine of the local economy. In fact, the small and medium enterprise sector constitutes more than 90% of enterprises in Palestine. He also confirmed that supporting the small and medium enterprises sector is a priority for TNB and a main part of its strategic plans. 

It is important to note that the activities of Al-Harajah Market will take place every Friday for 12 weeks, until October 14, along Issa Ziadeh Street, located in Rashid Haddadin Square, facing the Ramallah municipality building.
