TNB grants additional facilities to the accounts of the Execution Departments in courts

The National Bank (TNB) signed an agreement today with the Supreme Judicial Council to support their basic agreement to facilitate financial transactions for litigants in the accounts of the Execution Departments in courts. TNB will provide a package of facilities and additional features on bank transfers to litigants. The agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of TNB, Salameh Khalil, and the Acting Director General for Administrative and Financial Affairs Sherif Al-Qawasmi, in the presence of a number of directors from both parties.

Under the agreement, TNB will exempt litigants in Palestinian courts from paying a commission when making internal transfers through the bank. Only a symbolic fee will be collected for transfers made with other banks operating in Palestine, regardless of the amount transferred.

In a comment on the agreement, Khalil said that TNB was proud of its strategic relationship with the Supreme Judicial Council. This relationship dates back years, and these additional facilities will only enhance it. They will facilitate financial transactions for litigants in Palestinian courts. Khalil noted that in previous years, TNB established 8 offices in the headquarters of Palestinian courts. Today, TNB is planning to open additional offices in the near future in line with its agreement with the Supreme Judicial Council.

Khalil stressed the importance of partnership and cooperation among all sectors in Palestine to promote welfare, overcome challenges and achieve development. He praised the Palestinian judiciary and its role in ensuring justice and protecting the rights of Palestinians.

For his part, Al-Qawasmi stressed that bank transfers will facilitate matters for citizens. The system allows lawyers and citizens to request the disbursement of executive payments electronically. This is an easy and safe alternative for everyone.

Al-Qawasmi thanked the National Bank’s management for its cooperation, namely for waiving commission fees for internal bank transfers, and charging a symbolic commission on transfers with other banks, in the hopes that this permanent and constructive communication between the two sides will achieve what is best for litigants.
