The National Bank completes the distribution of 60 tons of food to the West Bank governorates as part of a series of relief campaign

The National Bank (TNB) completed today the distribution of 60 tons of food parcels to West Bank governorates as part of its campaign of relief contributions launched this year to alleviate the burden of war on Palestinian citizens in all areas of Palestine. The campaign focused on humanitarian relief in Gaza until the end of the year. Food parcel convoys toured the governorates of the West Bank, starting from Jenin in the north, passing through Ramallah and Al-Bireh, and reaching Hebron in the south. Governorates partnered with TNB in distributing parcels to families most in need.

Reem Anani, the Public Relations Manager at TNB, said that the bank directed its social contributions this year to humanitarian relief by focusing on Gaza and alleviating the repercussions of the difficult economic situation caused by the war for families in the West Bank. Anani noted that these interventions were part of a series of relief contributions that will continue throughout the year.

During the delivery of the parcels in Ramallah, Dr. Laila Ghannam, Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, said, "TNB has made several contributions already, as this is not the bank's first partnership with the governorate. We are also partners in scholarship programs, providing medical supplies, and today during the holy month, these donations reached those most in need."

For his part, the Governor of the Jenin Governorate, Kamal Abu Al-Rub, said, "We thank TNB for this initiative by allocating its social responsibility program to relief and alleviate the suffering of Palestinian citizens, especially in light of this difficult economic situation and the rise in unemployment due to the war."

For his part, Mustafa Dirawiya, Governor of the Tulkarm Governorate, said, "We thank TNB for this intervention, as the current situation needs social solidarity and cohesion to alleviate the current economic hardship. These interventions will surely contribute to the relief of people and shall strengthen their resilience."

Ghassan Daghlas, Governor of Nablus Governorate, said during the aid delivery, "The war on Gaza has disrupted the economic cycle due to layoffs, closures and daily raids. These efforts of solidarity among the Palestinian people in these difficult circumstances and in the month of Ramadan in particular greatly alleviate the depth of the crisis."

For his part, Mohammed Abu Alia, Governor of the Bethlehem Governorate, said, "We respect and appreciate this initiative from TNB in light of the difficult economic conditions experienced by our people and the unprecedented blockade imposed on us. It sends a message to all economic institutions to play a distinguished social role under these circumstances."
As for Khaled Dudin, Governor of Hebron, he said, "In light of these difficult economic conditions, this type of initiative is very important in supporting our people and needy families to strengthen their steadfastness. The complementary role of the private and public sectors is pivotal, as the private sector is a key partner in assuming national responsibility in this difficult stage of Palestinian history."

It is worth mentioning that TNB cooperated with the Development Work Center to provide thousands of daily hot Ramadan meals to displaced families in shelters in Rafah and the Central Gaza Governorate, while the center will be a partner of the Bank this year in its relief interventions in the Gaza Strip.
